A husband and full-time dad whose kids have (mostly) grown up, but one still needs me as a taxi driver. I’m 95% original parts—two replaced hips, a beard that’s no longer its original colour. The ponytail from my twenties has long gone. (Still, most of my teeth remain intact.)
After cycling through an endless list of hobbies, I’ve finally decided to focus on one: art—specifically, pen and ink, with a side hustle in calligraphy. I’ve always been fascinated with dip pen nibs, especially vintage ones. I’ve collected a huge number of them, more than I could ever use. And as I’ve been reliably informed, Birmingham had 129 factories and 100,000 different types of nibs at one time
Long-term goal? To draw, paint, and write with every nib I have for sale. Let’s see if my skills improve along with my collection.
